For hosts
Sortie shows people who are near you tonight and have nothing planned what's possible at your place. Including those who don't know you and don't follow you anywhere.
A table that stays empty tonight can't be made up for. The same goes for an appointment cancelled in the afternoon. Sortie is an attempt to close exactly that gap at short notice — no commission, no contract, no minimum term.
What it costs
Nothing. No fee, no commission per guest, no contract, no notice period.
This isn't an introductory offer, it's part of the model: Sortie is funded through an optional subscription in the app. For hosts it stays free permanently.
How it works
Get listed. Your venue appears in the nearby search. Nothing more is needed at first.
Release free tables — if you want to. If an evening looks quiet, you enter in the portal how many tables are free. On busy evenings you do nothing.
Guests take them. The guest states how many people are coming and receives a confirmation with your address. You know in advance how many to expect and can lay the table accordingly.
Short-notice announcements. If an evening is dragging, you can post a brief note — it appears for guests nearby and expires automatically.
Your QR sign
You get a print-ready QR code for the reception desk, the counter, or the waiting area. Anyone who scans it downloads the app — and becomes someone you can reach in future, whenever something opens up at your place at short notice.
Your followers are secure — it's just that a post doesn't necessarily reach them today, or necessarily nearby. That's the right channel for anything with lead time. Not for an appointment or table that has just opened up today.
Whatever you enter in Sortie goes out to people who happen to be nearby right now, promptly, via push.
You don't collect any guest data doing this, and no sign-up is required.
Your events
On request, Sortie picks up event listings from your public channels — website, Instagram, Facebook, calendar feeds. Nothing needs maintaining twice.
The point: what you're offering tonight otherwise reaches mainly those who already follow you. Through Sortie the others see it too — the ones who happen to be nearby.
What Sortie is not
Not advance planning. This is about tonight only. Tables are taken at short notice, not scheduled weeks ahead. Anyone wanting to book for next Saturday calls you.
Not a review platform. Sortie collects no stars and no reviews about your venue.
Not a discount platform. A table that's free at short notice is access, not leftover stock. Price reductions are explicitly not intended.
Honestly
Sortie is young. We're building the user base in and around Munich right now. So we're not looking for customers, but for venues willing to find out with us whether this works — with a direct line to the founder and influence on how the product develops.
